Modelling Climate Change Effects on Wine Quality Based on Expert Opinions Expressed in Free-Text Format: The WEBSOM Approach
نویسندگان
چکیده
The motivation for modelling the effects of climate change on viticulture and wine quality using both qualitative and quantitative data within an integrated analytical framework is described. The major constraints and solutions evident when taking such an approach are outlined. WEBSOM is a novel self-organising map (SOM) method for extracting relevant domain-dependent characteristics from web based text and in this case applied to modelling wine quality determined by climate variation, by web text mining a sample of 95 New Zealand wine published descriptions made by sommeliers about this phenomenon. This paper describes experiments using the WEBSOM method with their results.

Modelling the effects of climate change on the distribution of Kura bleak (Alburnus filippii Kessler, 1877) on the Iranian scale
The phenomenon of climate change is the greatest environmental challenge facing in the world today. The phenomenon is expected to affect all ecosystems in the world. Freshwater ecosystems are more vulnerable to these changes, as freshwater is exposed to various human pressures such as hydrology, morphology, connectivity and water quality. Therefore, climate change along with the mentioned issue...
متن کاملModeling the effects of climate change on the distribution of Acanthalburnus urmianus (Günther, 1899) in Urmia lake basin rivers
According to the reports of the International Panel Climate Change (IPCC) there is no doubt about climate change occurring. All ecosystems on the earth have being concerned by the effects of climate change. Urmia lake basin and its rivers exposed to numerous anthropogenic stressors such as hydrological, morphological, connectivity and water quality pressures. The main objective of this study is...
متن کاملExact analytical approach for free longitudinal vibration of nanorods based on nonlocal elasticity theory from wave standpoint
In this paper, free longitudinal vibration of nanorods is investigated from the wave viewpoint. The Eringen’s nonlocal elasticity theory is used for nanorods modelling. Wave propagation in a medium has a similar formulation as vibrations and thus, it can be used to describe the vibration behavior. Boundaries reflect the propagating waves after incident. Firstly, the governing quation of nanoro...
متن کاملModeling Current and Future Potential Distributions of Caspian Pond Turtle (Mauremys caspica) under Climate Change Scenarios
Although turtles are the most threatened taxonomic group within the reptile class, we have a very limited understanding of how turtles respond to climate change. Here, we evaluated the effects of climate changes on the geographical distribution of Caspian pond turtle (Mauremys caspica). We used an ensemble approach by combining six species distribution models including artificial neural network...

A new challenge which the world will face in near future is the reduction of water resources regarding to global climate changes. Climate change is one of the phenomena which will threats future of the universe. Iran locates in an arid and semi-arid region and has limited water resources. Based on global and Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) board database and the statistics of s...
